So, as you may know, if you follow us on our other blog where we post our monthly menu, http://www.havedinnerwithus.blogspot.com/, we enjoy a good dinner out. Often.

Many people have asked us for our opinions on where to go, what to have, or which restaurants in KC are the best places to dine. So, since you've asked, we decided to post a restaurant review of some of our favorite (and not-so-favorite) places in KC.

Please know we have in no way been compensated for our reviews on this blog. Everything we post is based upon our own personal experiences at these restaurants (good and bad).

Happy dining!

I'm going to be extremely honest.  We've only ordered one thing from Lidia's, and we order it every time we go.  Lidia's Pasta Trio ($19) which is served tableside & different every time too.  We've been with friends who have ordered different items, and have raved about them, but again, being creatures of habit, this has been our consistent way to dine at Lidia's.  Located in the crossroads, Lidia's is such a treat.  Paul is a pasta junkie, so to get him his fix, this is our place to go. Everything is freshly made, and you can tell it's homemade goodness.

The Pasta Trio is an all-you-can-eat experience of 3 differing pasta dishes. Made to order and brought directly to you in the skillet, and dished out to your plate at the table. You can have as little or as much of each pasta as you desire. It's the only way to go (according to us).  But, like I said, many of our guests and friends that we've dined with us at Lidia's have tried other things - and from sampling their plates, we've been impressed with those dishes too, but I can only speak on our personal experiences and choices, and Lidia's Pasta Trio is where it's at.  Also heard they have a wonderful brunch, but we've not tried it yet ... so when we do, we'll be sure to update you!
